Gross Heating & Air Conditioning provides normal and emergency service repair for our maintenance agreement customers at a 15 percent discounted rate on all repair parts. Our normal business hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and our office is open until 5:00 p.m. We also provide 24-hour emergency service, 365 days a year.

The Check-Up Process

We follow a routine process each time we check your furnace or air conditioner. Here’s what you can expect from Gross Heating & Air Conditioning when we conduct your spring and fall inspections:

1. Gas Furnace Inspection (All Makes and Models)

  • Check filter
  • Check for carbon monoxide
  • Inspect and clean heat exchanger
  • Lubricate moving parts
  • Check, clean, and adjust (if applicable):
    - Fan motor for proper voltage and amp draw
    - Thermostat operation and calibration
    - Blower assembly
    - Burners
    - Ignition system
    - Flue drafts and dampers
    - Safety devices
    - Electrical connections
    - Airflow correctness
    - Condensate drain, fittings, and piping

2. Air Conditioner Inspection

  • Check filter
  • Lubricate moving parts
  • Check, clean, and adjust (if applicable):
    - Powerwash outdoor coil
    - Indoor coil, if accessible
    - Coil temperature drops
    - Operating voltage and amp draw
    - Thermostat operation and calibration
    - Blower assembly
    - Condensate drain, fittings, and piping
    - Start contractor and capacitor
    - Safety devices
    - Refrigerant levels and pressure
    - Airflow correctness
    - Electrical connections
